Shopping Cart

The cart holds products a customer intends to buy before completing the checkout process.

Cart Behavior

• Guest Cart — Saved in session/cookie for 30 days (configurable)
• Logged-in Cart — Stored in the database and visible across devices
• Cart Merge — When a guest logs in, their guest cart merges with their account cart

Cart Features

• Update quantities inline
• Remove individual items
• Apply coupon or gift card codes
• See real-time shipping estimate (if enabled)
• Save for later (wishlist integration)

Cart Abandonment

The Marketing module includes cart abandonment tracking. If a logged-in customer adds items but doesn't check out within a configurable time window, an automated reminder email is sent.
