Product Reviews & Ratings
The Review module enables customer product reviews — star ratings and written feedback — that appear on product detail pages and improve conversion rates.
How Reviews Work
- A customer who has purchased a product can submit a review from their order detail page or the product page
- The review enters a moderation queue — it is not visible publicly until approved
- An admin reviews and approves (or rejects) from Reviews → Pending Reviews
- Approved reviews appear on the product page with star rating, customer name, date, and text
Configuration
Under Settings → Reviews:
- Allow reviews from: Verified purchasers only (recommended), or any logged-in customer
- Moderation: Auto-approve or require manual approval
- Minimum rating: Optionally require a star rating (1–5 stars) before submitting text
- Profanity filter: Auto-flag reviews containing configured words for manual review
Admin Actions
- Approve, reject, or edit a review
- Mark a review as "Verified Purchase" manually (if needed)
- Reply to a review publicly — your reply is shown below the customer review
- Flag a review as abusive or remove it
Review Aggregates
The product page shows an aggregate star rating (e.g., 4.3 / 5 based on 28 reviews) and a histogram of ratings by star. This structured data is also output as JSON-LD for Google rich snippets.
