Giving Team Members Access to the AI Bot

Giving Team Members Access

A connected provider is inert until you link at least one person. Linking ties a chat account (for example a Telegram user) to a Store Console user, so the AI knows who is talking and what they are allowed to see.

Linking someone

  1. Go to Admin → Intelligence → AI Channels and scroll to Allowed users
  2. Pick the provider and the Store Console user
  3. Press Generate link code — a short one-time code appears
  4. Send that person the code and ask them to message your bot with /link YOUR-CODE

The bot confirms the link and they can start chatting immediately. Codes are single-use and expire, so a leaked code cannot be reused.

Adding more people

Repeat the process for each teammate — there is no limit. An administrator, an editor and a manager can all be linked to the same provider at once, and each one gets a different level of access because the AI honours their existing role.

Suspending or removing access

  • Use the toggle in the Allowed users table to switch someone off temporarily — their messages stop being answered but the link is kept
  • Use the remove button to delete the link entirely; they would need a fresh code to return
  • The table also shows when each person last used the bot, so stale access is easy to spot

Commands

  • /link CODE — connect your chat account to a Store Console user
  • /start — confirm who you are linked as
  • Anything else is treated as a question for the AI
